Smileyface (9/25/2007)
So the conclusion is, LARP is a game, Re-enactment is a hobby/martial art. The two are different... are you really surprised by that? Or upset?
More accurate to say that some people do LARP as a game. There are a lot of people who play to tell stories, or to simply immerse themselves in the world. No competition, and no win conditions = no game. LARP is a hobby, Re-enactment is a hobby. Both can have martial components. They just have different focuses and different conventions.
