Errr... 'ello,
my name is David & I'm an Alcoholic. Oh, sorry wrong forum. Well, my name is David and it looks like I'll be going to the next event (which would be nice to know when & where it's going to be. Any ideas?), to join in the fun & frolics with the Orc folks.
I only really got introduced to LARP a couple of years ago and have now crewed at 3 or 4 Eventyr events. So this will be my first time actually in character! I'm still going through the system to sort out my starting character, but at present it looks like he's going to be called D'yfook Pigkiller and be green.

Not me, but the Character I knicked the name from. It was called Gladiatris, and was made by the people who did 'Smack the pony'. The other memorable one was Smeargut, otherwise known as Smeg. That just leaves 'Worth-about-a-pig'.
Wasn't a bad film actually.

| Hello! We've been having a beast of a time finding a site for October. As there's basically only August and September now before said month, it seems sadly very likely that we won't get to run another event this year :-( However, Oli and I are instead looking for sites for two or three events next year, which we aim to have booked in very short order so that we can sort block-booking discounts and the like. The rough dates we're thinking of would be: A fortnight after Easter (to avoid post-Maelstrom death) -- that'd be the 16th-18th April.
A weekend in July
Late September/early October Systems we absolutely want to avoid clashing with are Maelstrom, Bladelands, Eos and Crusades as we either play or crew them, or lots of our players do. If there are other systems that have particularly big representation in the Insurrection playerbase, it'd be really useful to know!

| Shame to hear that you're having trouble finding sites, I was looking forward to actually turning up to it, rather than hearing brilliant reports of it from others. Still, three event next year isn't a bad compromise I suppose :-)

I both love and hate the warm weather in equal measure -- the sun burns me with its hateful rays, and yet I love it so. *sob* If it helps, I could bring an orc mask to next Maelstrom and chase you a bit? Maybe get No-Name* Hewitt to shout at you for hiding a bit?
