Registration to this forum is free, but we do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you post here you signify your agreement to the terms. The owners and administrators insist follow these rules when using our forums. - 1) No Direct Personal Attacks On Other Posters. This means you can call arguments "shit" but you cannot call people "Shits" on our forums.
We want healthy, intelligent debate and constructive discussion. Statements that would lead common members of the public to hold the target of that statement in ridicule or contempt are right out, and if deemed by Rule7 to be libelous, will be removed within 48 hours. - 2) You must be 13 or over in order to register on Rule7. We use robust language and like to talk about adult topics, so we actively discourage children from using the board. By registering, you're confirming that you are 13 years of age or over.
- 3) Should you feel bullied or intimidated by another user, please tell either a moderator, the admin, or send an email to complaints@rule7.co.uk we will then ask three users we trust and who are not directly connected to the complaint to see if it is valid, and take appropriate action You can also send a post report using the report function, this goes to all moderators of the forum.
- 4) We reserve the right to ban you from using our board at any point. If banned, you must not post on the board, use any of Rule7's functions, or ask someone to post on your behalf. Upon being banned, we reserve the right to charge you for our time if you do not obey the ban.
- 5) Rule7 hates censorship and you can say whatever you like, but do not break rule 1. RPG.net have a great statement on this - "Use profanity as a spice, not the main course." I couldn't put it any better at all so consider it the same for here.. Please remember that foul language increases the likelihood that certain 'work filters' will block access to the site, reducing the number of people who can use the board.
- 6) We reserve the right to declare all contributed content (for example, posts) dated on or after the 15th of May 2005 Public Domain, unless you, the contributor, declare otherwise at the time. We intend to use posted content to construct articles on relevant LRP/LARP topics and will contact all users involved in doing that before such an article is posted.
If you wish to claim copyright on your posts, you must put © and the date you made the amendment either in your signature or in the posts you wish to claim copyright on. Those who own a board in the Ongoing campaigns section are also allowed to claim full copyright on posts from their board, provided they make this obvious to posters on that board. Also when you are quoting from other authors works i.e. essays, stories or other web pages, please give them proper attribution, it's only polite. Additionally allegations of copyright infringement to our ISP could get us shut down so bear this in mind . - 7) Don't take the piss, I mean really....
- 8) You cannot post anonymously in the Rule7 forums. If you are not willing to stand behind your words publicly then Rule7 is not the forum for you.
- 9) All messages express the views of the authors, and neither the owners of Rule7, nor InstantASP Limited. (developers of InstantASP) will be held responsible for the content of any message. Rule7 reserves the right to delete any post as it sees fit.
- 10) Do not troll - by this we mean mass posting on topics and derailing them to your own agenda, inhibiting other debate. Whilst you are undoubtedly interesting and have interesting views, so do everyone else.
