| Hey folks, Just to keep you in the loop, lots of Very Big Stuff is going on in my job at the minute (I work for a trade union and loads of our members are being made redundant. This keeps me rather busy.) so that's why I've not been so responsive as normal. Priority #1, Insurrection-wise, is to sort a site for Event Three (hopefully October) and even Event Four (hopefully April). We have somewhere in mind for Four but are struggling for Three. Any suggestions of sites we haven't used already in the Midlandsy area would be really gratefully received. Ideally they'd have at least two buildings, much tree cover, and space for us to take people out on micro-linears if we choose to. Costing less than about £750 would be a definite plus-point, too.
--- Joe Rooney - Battle Vegan
Insurrection LRP: high fantasy in a dystopian setting. Event Three is May 14th-16th 2010, at Stock Wood. Book now for a £10 discount! Event Four is October 15th-17th 2010, at Consall Scout Camp Site.
Bladelands: Raoul Twice-Dead - hunter, killer, witch and trouble-maker EOS: staff (probably the best job in LRP!) Maelstrom: Carlito Rossini of the Sol Igneus Company (est. 1659, incorporated in Terino) Odyssey: some Persian Immortal, details TBC

One building as I recall, although I can't discount there being a second building that was somewhere else away from the main area or out of character that I simply don't remember.
It was a pretty good site, although I can't for the life of me remember where it was.

EOS made use of the Quarries scout camp:
http://www.thequarriescampsite.co.uk/siteinfo.html its just a bit north of Milton Keynes, lots of different areas + castle.
Also a lot smaller than it seemed when I was there as a cub...
Bravery will take you into the most dangerous of places
Overwhelming firepower will see you safely through them
PD: Was: Borris, Tea Clubs human shield. Now: Kibidachi Yoshikazu, humourless, not bestest badger.
EOS: Malak, hungry orc number 5.
Insurrection: Tondur Anazon. The application of unwise science to the practice of warfare.
Zeitgiest: Maximillian Bergmann Schmidt. Delicious heresy (extra crispy).

One possible option, used for the CUTT 3YGBs, is Little Abington scout camp. It is smaller than I'd ideally want, but has some nice varied terrain, some handy features, two good sized buildings (including a kitchen) and a permanent toilet block.
Might be worth considering, or at least looking at with Google Earth to see if you think it is big enough.
