As much detail as you'd like. The more detail we have, the more we have to go on.
Bear in mind, that if it's pointless detail it's easy for us to end up missing the important information.
Do we really need to know exactly how much time you spend cleaning your belly button, and what technique you use? The answer may well be yes, but you should at least ask yourself. *grin*

| ;-) Point taken. It was more that I am doing stuff like writing up how the military cipher works so I can distribute it to people (as agreed during one of the meetings at the event) so I was interested to see if this contributed an action in the downtown system. It maybe fairly obvious to other people however I haven't played many games that have an active downtime component. I have played a few that say that don't have one but clearly do... but thats a different issue... ;-)

Unless something explicitly says it takes downtime turns, it doesn't. So trading with the Wayfarers or whatever takes no downtime turns, and nor would writing stuff up.
