The trouble is that people are starting to think that LRP is the non contact combat scissors paper stone thing and LARP is the hit things with rubbers swords.

And these are the people you need to beat with sticks until they understand the right way to do things...

What's that? It's on the internet so it must be true?!? Gah. Again I say, "GAHHHH!"
Some of us still have gaffer tape burns and burning Evo-stick lung damage. We fought and died in two LRP wars for you young punks, and "Oooh, it's better in search engines" is all you can come out with when you want to change the name of our hobby. Sorry. Start your own hobby, and call it what you like. :p

LARP actually works out better for web searches
Bollocks. I think you'll find "Hot lesbian fisting nuns" works out MUCH better in websearches; however it, like "LARP", has fuck all to do with our hobby.
If anyone can apply to the above search string to our hobby, please email me

| In retrospect I do find the term LARP useful when looking for games to attend. If an organiser has called their game a 'LARP' then it sets off my 'it will be pants' alarm. If the organiser has called their game LRP then I assume they are an experienced seasoned LRPer and their game may be good. So LARP is a useful term Of coarse this could just be a sweeping statement.
