Ahh rhetorical, I thought that meant speaking in such a way that you could not be misunderstood and convincing people yours is the only correct argument.

| It's always been LRP. The chequebook in my hand has an account holder named Convocation LRP. LARP is the American version that has been gaining popularity in the UK. And while I'm on the subject, it's colour, it's programme, and it's centre.

Steve Lewis (9/21/2006) It's always been LRP. The chequebook in my hand has an account holder named Convocation LRP. LARP is the American version that has been gaining popularity in the UK. And while I'm on the subject, it's colour, it's programme, and it's centre.
In defense of americanisms can I just say "Hubcab" is objectively about 218X better sounding than "wheeltrim".
LARP is (as I have previously stated) an abomination not to be counternanced.

True, but then the Americans invented factory built cars and probably hubcaps- so they have the right to call them whatever they like.

I'd add my own vague preference for LRP as the "action" bit always makes you sound a bit of a twat.
All the above about the A creeping in from the US certainly matches my own understanding and dim recollections.
At the end of the day though, it's all a bit petty really, isn't it?

Never the less, petty as it may be, LRP is a British norm, the rest of the world seem to think its some kind of Lead replacement petrol or summink.....
There is no way you can disprove to me that all reality we percieve, was concieved in the mind of a plastic troll. Now hand me my pills.
