Times change and I want to use new ways to describe the hobby I love. Who knows? But they aren't "New ways", that is entirely the point. It's a useless tautology that serves no purpose.

I'd forgotten how much fun it is to rage against things that mean absolutely sod all!

It hasn't been yet.  But times change.  Change happens deal with it.

Aye they do.... but tis a fool who assumes they change for the better or that the change cannot be resisted.

Oh, please never ever reply to me again by hyperlinking a Yankee self help book I'll have to kill you, and anyone you know, and people who remind me of you.

This is true. I've thumb-read through that book (very boring job in HR, I don't want to talk about it) and it's shit.

So where were we? or yes: It's LRP damn it, and anyone who says otherwise get's a kicking.

For those who think LARP (Live Action Role Playing) is tautological:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tautology

And therefore I conclude you have no sense of adventure.

For Flannel, try reading this. Which is not technically a book.

And frankly I think the aesthetic argument is v. good too.  I'd rather be a "lah-per" then a "luh-per".

Hmm... yes.  "Adventure, putting the "ahhh" back into LARP".

There is only overconfidence and terror.

There are no "luh-pers". Only Lah-pers and el-ah-pee-ers.

I think LRP sounds better than LARP.  And I think that collective-noun we're looking for is pronounced "tw-ats".

Good point Richie, but I feel that doesn't polarise enough. Can LRP'ers be "twats" while LARP'ers are a bunch of cunts?
