Ok getting a bit back on topic. One thing that maybe isn't wrong but difficult(?) Trading resources, theirs no way without going to god (and i dont know if you can) of splitting down say 1 wood to 2 1/2 woods.

I always welcome advice from people who have run or are running other games,

Lol. In my experience the only thing worse than someone telling you how it should be done is someone telling you how it should be done because they've already done it. Experience is a like a straitjacket for the mind.

History is an important source for LRP. Along with other works of fiction.

Yea, but so long as it's someone else wearing the straight jacket it can be incredibly useful!

There's the side issue that, say, a bit of ore might be a whole ore, or two fifths of an ore, or 17/20 of an ore, and it doesn't say anywhere on it.

If there were a minimum divisible unit (probably 1/20 of ore, though I don't know for other resources), and the tokens were for each minimum divisible unit, that would make the accounting easier for us. Maybe not for you though.

I've just had another mind-boggling thought: If you're halfway through an item, are the resources to make it already used up and now part of the item, or are they unused, or are they partially used? If you pass it (partially made) to someone else do the necessary completion resources go with it?

I'm going to give myself a headache if I think about that too much. I imagine the answers are a) already used and b) yes, just to make it easy.

Once measures begin to be used they are considered dedicated to that use. So, one measure of ore that makes multiple items is set to be used only for the purposes it has been put to when it was first "actioned". Essentially you don't have to worry about the divided math as once the pie starts to get eaten I tell you how much you have left.

On the subject of resource trade. I completely agreee. If I could find a better cost effective and time effective way to produce phys reps for the measures I would. There are some improvements on the herb phys repping on the way, but I am open to suggestions.

my imidate thought is keep all the info about the resource on one side of the lammy, the otherside divide up into say 10 chunks with "1/10 Ore" on it with dividng lines and then let people cut it up as used or traded, maybe some sort of perferation or scoring jig to make the division easy?  (thinking along the lines of a board with pins in it to puncture the divisions)

as i said that was just an imidate thought there are some problems with it :/

oo that opens it up a bit, I was gona surgest little sealing food bags about the size of a lammi, info attached to the insidefacing out and laminated tokens/chips inside for a portion of the ore.

Were you thinking of going totaly away from lammies towards somthing new and inspiring?
