I have been saying EOS is half way between the LT and PD.
I.E. The balance between player lead plot and that coming from the background.
Do people agree?

It's been a while since I went, but personally I wouldn't compare it to LT Something that seperates EOS from the bigger fests is that the events seem to be set at actual flashpoints rather than at the seasonal / annual festival. In that respect, it's more like a small larp rather than a fest. One of the things I find most refreshing about EOS is that a significant number of the characters appear to be broadly honest decent people with moral principles. While there are bad people doing bad things, there is also civilised moral majority to constrast them with. I'm still tempted to describe it as Settlers of Catan larp. I'll trade you my wood for a sheep.

This is a biggie for me. You don't get self described "bad guys" at EOS. Some of the races there have extremely disruptive and/or dangerous moral standards, caused by centuries of isolation; but they're as astonished by everyone else as everyone else is by them.
I tend to point to the Brood as the poster boys of EOS (and not just because Orogan are silly-hard ). Huge tough Orcs with a habit of eating members of other races... who also happen to be completely reasonable if you're willing to consider what they want out of a deal.

I'm still looking for that coal.

<... quietly points not wanting to draw too much attention. They are Orrogan Orks, there were two Urgat in there but we are the umm 'medium' Orks

| Eos is kinda Omega with a bit more monster based combat. The idea of the setting for LT is fine, its the fact that SOME of the people who are involved in its organisation are lyng two faced sons of politians and parking attendants who make up stories about you and when they get found out to be utter balls wont retract them or appologise for them. (Personal grudge showing here) EOS is the single most enjoyable fantasy system i have played, great crew, great players, 1st class all the way. Theres my two pence.

EOS is the single most enjoyable fantasy system i have played, great crew, great players, 1st class all the way. Theres my two pence. I'd have to go along with that, the system is soo much fun and its such a great experience to roleplay along-side so many awesome players. I dont think I've played a character before that wasnt quiet or shy for about 3 events (probably because i can be quiet/shy), but with Krudak, it just felt right to get involved straight away and found my role as a diplomat of sorts and from then on i didnt shut up. I attribute alot of that to the way people responded to me, if i had been brushed off or people hadnt roleplayed with me then id probably be a very shy and bored Ork, instead i got more roleplaying in those 2 events that i had got in years and a kick ass death ta boot sooo i slipped off on a huge tangent there, but basically I enjoy the level of roleplaying from all the players who attend the events.

I am trying to convince two friends to go. Saying the above got a good response.
I agree that its the best game I have experienced by a long shot. But i wanted to give an idea about the feel of the game. And I knew they had been to the PD and LT games.

I've never done LT but judging by the responses and views of others it seems that the LT has the following attributes:
