I'm not at the event this time although will be at event 4. This is less a "Where's Mikey!" post and more "Mikey is gutted he's missing Maelstrom and wondering if anybody else is as gutted at missing it - because misery loves company".

Me too - as in I'm not going due to having a small 6 week old baby to look after. Shame that a few peoples behaviour last year meant that the baby rules got changed. Especially as lots of people I know who do Mael have either given birth or got pregnant this year.

I'm a little grumpy at missing Maelstrom (especially as Hootenanny was such fun, & this is another Arteman-hosted event), but I suspect that the prospect of watching loads of gorgeous goth bellydancers may make up for it.
Also, I didn't fancy two drives to London for LRP events in one year... so I too will be at Event 4, but am voting with my feet for Event 3.

I'd rather maelstrom than that ... not my cup o' tea at all. Which is odd, as it should be my cup o' tea. I guess that particular goth belly dancer isn't pretty imo.
