So...where are you planning on running the game.  With any period LRP I tend to find that having a good venue is key.  For regency LRP I would imagine some kind of manor house would be great.  The other problem I can see is running in the or around winter time.  Regency is quite often imagined as garden parties etc.  If run in winter there would probably have to be alot of play indoors and so once again...location would be key.

Thoughts?

Now if you could persuade them to let you use the site for a quick overnight game then I think this would be ideal....for an overnight game not a weekend,

Hmm, not particularly keen on a city venue. Really want to have running around in nighttime woods...

In an ideal world, I'd hold the larp in Devon. My family is down there, I could organise a Regency manor house easily (and cheaply). But that's a lot of travel for people. So it looks like a scout camp in the Midlands is more likely.

Probably in late Spring. Don't want it to be too cold & dark...

Personally, I'd say awesome site + lots of travel > adequate site + reasonably central.

But then I live cheaply while being paid well, so I guess I'm biased

All terms used above, including crew, monster, team, ref, referee, game, win, lose, larp, lrp, player, character, death, good, bad, rubbish, awesome and odorous are used subjectively. That is to say I have no idea what I'm on about.

I'm interested in deatils of a regency manor house even if it is in Devon. I know a fair few LRPers down there anyway.

Speaking as an LRPer from Newcastle Upon Tyne and knowing a good handful of people all without cars who really want to do this event, I know our votes would be for a more central location. Devon is a bit hard to get to from up here.
