There was a thread a while back discussing the possibility of setting up a LRP writing group as there are a lot of people out there who seem to like to LRP and write (many of you manage it at the same time, even, without spilling ink or dropping the quill! ). Nothing much was done at the time but I have had this idea bubbling away at the back of my mind for quite some time so I decided to enact it.So, after a initial polling of some people to see what they thought, the production of some basic guidelines and the creation of a group on facebook I have started up 'The LRP writing project'. The aim is to produce an anthology gathering together stories that relate in some way to LRP. It is my belief that there are a good number of unique and interesting worlds in LRP which deserve to be showcased. At the end of the process it is hoped to have a collection of good quality stories, articles, poetry, artwork and photographs which can be put together and published. The following is a Facebook group where the project can be discussed: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=19541587343 It is not essential to join the group to take part in the project but it is there to allow discussion and questions. All you need to do to take part in the project is follow the guidelines as published below: http://www.savefile.com/projects/808652823 Or which can be acquired from me direct (please mail on balor_99@yahoo.co.uk to request a copy). Once you have read the guidlines, you need to post a synopsis as described in the guidelines to tell us what your story is about. This will be made available (on a private, passworded forum) for all those involved to read and comment on. Be aware that the deadline for synopsis submission is currently the end of July/start of August at which point we will start the process of critting each synopsis. If you have any questions, please feel free to mail me privately, ask on the group above or post a comment here. I do ask, however, that you look at the guidelines before asking any questions as this covers many details such as publishing plans and copyright issues.

Yeah, there are a few out there but I don't see this as clashing at all. IN fact, they may be sources of mutually beneficial recruitment...
