| Lords of chaos was better... but chaos was also good. Also: Feud Elite Lords of Midnight Bloodwych War in middle earth (the old version, not the newer post film one with the same name...)

One of the early 'first person' games. Before they had the speed to do things like Doom. You walked around a dungeon (slowly) at the head of a group of adventurers from a number of strange races and hit things, solved puzzles and basically did the whole D&D thing but not with a D&D setting. Similar to many of the actual AD&D games, in fact, like Menzoberanzon.

| Lords of Chaos had a sequel - Magic and Mayhem, nice updated real time version keeping most of the elements the same. They then went 3d with Art of Magic (Magic and Mayhem 2). Both not bad games.

| It got a bit samey after a while and was not as interesting as many others. I don't think AD&D computer games really made an effort to please until Baldur's gate.

I liked baldurs gate, though alot of it did seem to depend on your knowledge of the D&D system (ie what spells did etc). Having said that it was a damn good romp. never finished it mind...
I've just thought of an awesome RPG esque game: Syndicate.
