Notice this forum's been quiet for a while.

Any chance of future events either this year or next? Having read up a little, I'm quite enthused by your game philosophy.

Eos: Manius Shard. Green and gold shiny healy thing.

Shadow Wars: Johnny Hyper, Hack the Planet!

Odyssey: Was Prince Ramekhet IV, of the line of Nectanebo etc etc; now Quintus Antoninus, sentimental fool err... philosopher of Rome.

Hi, sorry it's a bit quiet. We will be running again, but Ian is living in caravan at the moment while he builds his house, so we've put it all on hold for a bit.

Understandable really.

I'm tempted to make a smartarse comment about how a true Hyborian warrior should want to sleep under the stars, but I doubt that's particularly conducive to running events either.

I'm sure he'd like nothing better- his wife and & 7(I think) year old son probably have quite strong opinions on that however.
Ah well, just think how cool the next event will be with the extra time we've go to plan it and Ian and Bridie having enough space to be creative.

We're not quite in a caravan yet (behind schedule already!) but we're expecting to select a builder next week & start building later this month.

Personally I'd happily spend every summer in a hammock under the stars, with a nearby tent in case it rains... but I need ADSL access for my work.

At the moment I do quite often work outside in the summer, but again, it's handy to have some kind of shelter so the laptop doesn't get rained on. Here's me on a typical summer's day, hard at work:

PD: Ghostdance ("Respawning Pleb")
Riftworld: Rossar Kuug ("Clearly mad, because he thinks he's a Com-Trow Skirmisher" - Aela)
Hyborian Tales: Crew, cook, dogsbody, general labourer, toilet cleaner ("Dangerously overoptimistic ref" -- Tom Nowell)
Otherwise usually crew ("Quite spry & fit, & willing to wear a big costume & run around a lot" -- various event organisers)
