As you are well aware donations to political parties are anonymous both here and in America, so subjective proof is quite difficult to achieve especially since after 9/11 people have been strangely less vocal about it, and removed proud admissions from their websites.

What is a fact is that America had a very cosy arrangment withn Sinn Fein until someone mentioned to George W that they were linked to the IRA and then suddenly they were not invited to dinner... there was a bit of a fuss if you actually watched the news. Now if you are honestly suggesting that the Whitehouse was not previously aware of the association between Sinn Fein and the IRA you really are stretching the bounds of credulity. Coca Cola made a donation, for instance... its reasonably well documented, now apply that brain you are so proud of and think about who runs Coca Cola and their Political sway in American and World Politics.
