| I'm looking to get hold of five medieval-style waist length cotton/polycotton/linen chemise blouses with short sleeves in a women's size 16 or 18. Don't have to be identical, and I'm open to assorted colours (planning on dyeing them black, green and bleaching white - so any starting colour, but creams and whites would be easier!) Can't seem to find any online without spending £25+ each, but suggestions of where else to look very much welcomed! Thanks in advance!

Stuff like that sometimes shows up in Primark or Peacocks.

If you mean a shift thats short in length and short sleeved these are probably the easest costume to make. If you want to know how just ask here and I'll provide the basics for you.

| I had a look in the nearest Peacocks a month or so ago to no luck. No primarks within about an hours drive, hence the hope for online shops. As for DIY, no fabric shops near where I am, and haven't yet found an online fabric shop that doesn't charge more than it'd cost to buy the £25 tops I found! If I can knock it down to £15 each (pre-made, or less for making them), I'd be delighted! They don't have to be perfect (well, I need a couple that are actually raggedy in fact!), just peasant blouse-esque rather than a shortened underdress. If you have any suggestions of good places to look for fabric online, I'd love to hear them! If its a very simple pattern, I can probably try a make-and-do. Was just ever hopeful that someone had a hidden blouses-r-us stashed away that I hadn't found yet!
