I've just always found them slow in dispatch, not saying at point of sale or on confirmation email, how long the item will take. Working for online store this does **** me off no end coz I have customers complaining over items being day late from quoted dispatch.
I have also had a weapon queried when checked at an event even though it brand spanking new from LARP store.

| I do indeed buy from these guys and to be honest im very happy with them. My customer service experience with them was excellent. Yeah their prices are marked up but they have to make a profit and for the experience i had its worth the extra pennies... I placed an emergency order with them because eos was a week away and i needed ears and snaz so i ordered it and in 2 days the stuff was delivered, however missing the second set of ears. I called them and they handled my query very quickly and they paid at their own cost a next day courier to get the ears to me. To be preferctly honest i continue to shop with them and they continue to beat my service expectation Thanks guys

| I've always found LRPstore to be helpful and fair and the customer service has always been excellent. Yeah - there is 'Bob's Latex Weapons' if you want to go for cheap, but if you want decent quality and convenience then there isnt really anywhere else you can get that. I know Alex wont mention it, but I know that they're keen to help develop the hobby and nuture new talents in order to provide us with more and better choice of 'stuff'...plus they do stuff for charity too In short - it's all good

Alot of new LRPers are really shocked by the prices we pay for kit in the hobby - I certainly was when I started. The reason LRP kit is comparatively more expensive to other stuff is simple. Its not churned out wholesale in factories in the developing world where they can keep the rent and wages down. Its made by professionals usually in this country who, like you, want to make a decent living wage from their work.
Like many LRPers I have made kit for myself to save money, and in doing so I discovered just how much work goes into it!

I always thought kit was rather cheap. Most non-LRPers I talk to are astonished how cheap LRPing is. *shrug*
It's certainly cheaper if you make it yourself. Like all things in life really. Have you any idea how much cheaper houses are if you make them yourself - we rebuilt ours ourselves and it was loads cheaper. I wonder if house builders get people coming up to them going "200 grand for that? I could make it myself for less than 50!"
History is an important source for LRP. Along with other works of fiction.

If you look at kayaking or mountaineering - lrp is a lot cheaper i feel, mountain biking is just about comparable and thats not if you include the speedo pants and pads.
Now I've just pictured A male larper in speedos.
Shoot me. Shoot me now.

Making your own kit has a lot of pitfalls and can be more expensive than buying it in the first place. Although it is handy as you then know how to maintain your kit. I've been buying for years, all different types of kit. Sadly the UK seems to be an expensive place to buy. However if you look in the right areas and buy at the right times everything becomes very cheap. Excuse the pun but you have to "Snatch buy" for a good thing. Also it p | | | |
