Just thought I would post this and see what would happen.
I honestly don't know the answer, but I imagine that the amount of travelling some of us do to do LRP could be prohibitively expensive.

More small local systems in mostly undressed halls / fields, more train journeys, less set dressing / IC tentage (because it's harder to carry stuff on a train), more stored-on-site accomodation and props/dressing rather than being able to rely on players to bring it.

It'll be so hot all year soon that LRP can comfortably go on all year. And everythone will sweat bucket loads and get really fit and tanned. The oil will run out and science will be finally funded to build clean efficient travel systems and stuff. So it'll be really easy to get about and cheap too! Candlestone might be under water though so there wont be anywhere to run events.

I have yet to hear of a viable transport alternative to fossil based liquid fuels, and you'll have to forgive me for having little faith in science to provide such a thing. A move back to local clubs is a possibility.
What about weapons?

2. Harpoons made from Whale bone and bloody big machine guns on floating platforms. (sorry, it's a little hard to take this seriously- the last thing I'm be worried about re: Global Warming and rising sea levels is whether or not I'll be able to LRP)

Its not meant to be an overly serious thread (at least not in a doom and gloom sense). I've just been thinking alot about how it will affect other areas of life, work, food, transport etc and the next logical step was how it would affect recreation.

if the UK gets warmer, i get the chance to market my new internal armour cooling system, which is nice on a day like this (very sunny, nice breeze but metal boiling your bare flesh still)
if it gets colder, less hassle having to deal with redoing your facepaint? there will be a lot of happy vikings/fedelians/people in thick outfits?
as a point, what is the general view on which direction the UK's tempurature will be going? you hear 'new ice for us' from one side or 'were all going to burn into dust' from the other.
