| Loads of practical craft stuff, sewing, leatherwork, pattern cutting, how to make a fat suit, making weapons (obviously)- but also loads about how they developed and were used. History tons of it, but especially cultural stuff and also Myth cycles from lots of cultures. Team work, problem solving, conflict resolution (but real conflict resolution- not nampy pamby, I'll do whatever you say please don't kick off stuff) and leadership skills, people find it hard to resist when I start suggesting ideas- which is hard 'cos they're not always good ideas and it's hard being the creative brake for yourself. I've become a much harder person (oddly) I stand for a lot less crap (though that could also be from being 43, twice divorced and a youth worker), which is something I think has come from LRP. Strangest skill- I don't flinch when someone gets aggressive at work, which tends to disarm most young people before they even start and on the odd occassion where I've been threatened with a blade I've found it hard not to show contempt before convincing the offending person that giving me the knife would be much better for them. I'm not sure ifthat's good or bad but again it's mostly come from LRP.

I learnt how to make a variety of props and costume. I learned calligraphy (though I seldom use it in a larp setting these days). I learned first aid so that our uni club could meet safety regulations, and I learnt how to tie other people into their plate armour.
After a few years of setting-up and taking-down for Maelstrom, I also know tent-fu.
