They run events all over the country so where it is depends on what site they book and so on.

One event was near St Albans which is close enough to London as to not make a damn. Doubt they will use that site again, though, for various reasons (mainly local related).

There was a website but I don't think it has been updated for a while or even if it is still there.

PDf rules and background book available from bufflow_uk@yahoo.co.uk
sorry, no website yet. Bufflow is supposed to be doing a Photo album and link soon and if you send us your details we can send a few choicer pics with the rules.

As for the site near us(stAlbans), which was Harmergreen: cool site ruined by cretins persistently willing to walk their dogs and children through Pyrotechnics Danger signs and hazard tape, as other groups have found.
Riftworld can sometimes get pretty tightly wound in action or emotion, which is devastated by random public incursion. Sadly this makes getting sites somewhat tricky for our small-designed system.
As I'm sure players will confirm, Riftworld will never really lend itself to large-scale events. We like the claustrophobia.

- Come to Riftworld:the sun never shines, tomorrow is not a better day, but you can drink and swear all you like. That's when we attack.-

Yeah it'd be ruined if we ever thought we had a chance...

BOOKING DEADLINE CHANGED

We have decided to bring the booking deadline forward to 31st August. We need a minimum of ten out of the thirty player places filled and paid for to guarantee this event (and help us pay the deposit). Otherwise it's not worth doing. We would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know of your intention to attend asap. Please email me at
bufflow_uk@yahoo.co.uk for the address to send cheques if you don't have it (it is on the booking form though).

I have had some feedback about the current state of the Borwick: the main downside is the road up to the site. The problem with it is that the owner has been quoted a fortune to get it properly surfaced, so he's doing the best he can. If you are concerned about your vehicle's ground clearance, there is some limited space at the bottom and as balor said, kit can be ferried up in the 4x4.

The Borwick now has a kitchen area with double sink, the upstairs rooms have beds (crew sleeping area and IC use only). The standpipe has been moved from the door to a corner of the building.

Website: oh how I wish we had one. All I can say is that I'm chasing it at the moment.

Photos: not quite sure how to put a link on here, so if this doesn't work just let me know your email address (if I don't have it).

There is also a shower at Borwick now. This is located in the flat that used to be used as the crew area, however there is now a room that is off to one side of the flat that can be used as a secret crew room - thus making it possible to allow players to be able to use the shower and the hot running water available in the bathroom in the flat!

Fain, I request that we be allowed access to the bathroom of the flat, there are at least three of us who really sulk if we're not allowed to use the showers.

It costs another £100 to rent the flat now since unspecified groups left such a mess behind them that the owner put up the prices. Silly really, that may just put people off altogether. A deposit, refundable on condition of site at the end of the event would have been more sensible. So unless we get fully booked, we're not renting. Sulk away (or find us more players).

Hmm, that must be after we were there, cos that wasnt the case. I might instead get Dave and Jos to prod Paul into not being a muppet - a deposit is much more sensible.
