Length - I have yet to see a weapons checker with a tape measure.

Some great how to info there Inquisitor. I'm working my way up to big curved stuff. Short scimitars first. Keep an eye out. Any sneak previews will appear on the ShelfordFX site.

On a more pedantic note a kukri is closer in use and handling to a hatchet than a dagger. Its a hacking tool more commonly used for chopping wood than killing people with. So complaining that you cant use it as a dagger seems a little irrelevant anyway. If you want a dagger Mr. Shelford does a very nice curved hunting knife.

Edited to add: Not meaning to sound rude or harsh.

If the kukri is to a standard pattern we could probably make an unlined full leather sheath for approx £15. I'd need to get my hands on one to make the patterns though. I actually had an old army issue kukri and it's a simple drop scabbard.

Cheers

I'll be making each one slightly different then.

I shall be offering scabbards for all my weapons, in the future, right now I just haven't had the time and haven't found a leather worker that meets the standards I have set for my products. If someone who has already purchased a weapon from me wishes to have a scabbard made later they will be able to return the weapon to me and I'll make the scabbard to fit exactly. The scabbards I'm planning will be a little bit special.

Scabbard(ed) weapons may be something I will look at later in a 'Luxury' range.

Luxury range, fancy that. Would these include the 'baby'-kukris?
