Hi folks!
I am just here to see if there are any possible players that I may have missed or have moved to the area since I last went on a recruitment drive.
Brief details are:
1. System is Fantasy but lower fantasy (not Low, because thats none magic, we're between the two). Imagine Dark Age British Isles and you got it.
2. System is up and running (20+ players) and though we make the odd change here and there, its fully functional. Come as a single character or play as a small collection, we can handle it.
3. You could call us small system, we aint CP or LT, but you get what you put in and more - we have a simple downtime system for things you cant do in IC time.
4. A plot that affects the world (well, the portion you play in at least).
5. This post isnt really doing it justice, but if your in our area and fancy coming along, please pm me and I'll pass on the details. We run games every two weeks and perform both indoor and outdoor events.
I am open to suggestions and ideas from my player base and we're always looking for the depth of gameplay that is right for you.
Games cost 5.00 each and unless we get bombarded, we normally cater with food in mind!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Ferris

Hi again folks, wasnt expecting responses so quickly!
Right, the general setup of the game falls into two types of session:
1) Indoor events (run at Ince Village Hall, a stone throw from the Stanlow Refinery in Ellesmere Port, you can get to it quite easily from the M53 - directions later though). These games are run primarily as the roleplay and plot side of the game with a bit of food thrown in.
2) Outdoor (Linear) events run either in: Marford Quarry (not far from Wrexham) or over the old underground resevoir (by the Ince Hall) with the hall used for various setups. These events will be more combat based and generally have a goal the party needs to succeed in.
Generally the indoors will run on Friday nights, the outdoors on sunday afternoons - each game will have 2 weeks between (for me to chill out and attend other games and to prepare for the next).
Genre - I dont like labelling a genre of game, but its is fantasy, set in a dark ages-esq times. Primarily, you will not encounter other players that are not human (instead you will see them as Celtic, Danish, Mercian, Saxon or romanised barbarians). Creatures and Monsters are reserved generally for the 'badguys' and the plot lines.
If you attend other events 'to win' then you probly wont like our style of game; we try to go for gritty plots and wont hold back if the characters end up doing something stupid - that said, we have yet to hear of a complaint!
We cover as many facets of roleplay as we can though - roleplay, combat, adventures, crafting, foraging, personal (and / or collective) plot and politics (though we're hoping to have more players to make this a little easier on the team).
Regarding kit - It is generally assumed that when you are no longer playing a character (either because they have died or you want to retire him or her and play another) you are responsible for attaining/making new kit for your next character. Obviously the exception to this is for things than can cost a lot of money; armour, weapons etc. Also, we try to maintain our kit to higher standards, though we understand that not everyone can afford to do this.
The Group - We are none profit, in that once the kit has been paid for from our own pockets, we use the rest to buy props, food and book halls etc. We're a club, so everyone helps out. I also partially enforce a few rules on the frequency a player will play or mosnter if someone isn't taking their turn.
We have a mix of players from the fairly young and new, to the more experianced roleplayers (18-30+). I dont know what people consider a 'healthy mix' but I reckon we have it.
All said and done (and woffled on a bit) we're hoping that people enjoythe games set out and if your still interested, I can pass on a copy of the rules (though version 1.5 is coming soon).
Reply here if you're still interested and I will try to get you a copy of the rules sent out (in .doc format)

| Sounds good, I'm up for it, when's the next game? How authentic are you wanting, when you say low fantasy are we talking a kind of Bernard Cornwell up to Slaine scale of things (like Dumnonni) or are you looking for something more historically accurate (like Brittania Rex)?
