I was just wondering if there was anyone trading in props for Maelstrom, specifically crests or emblems for the various nations. I'm trying to find a something with the Freiboden double eagle on it, preferably an embroidered patch, but a brass military badge would do.

The double eagle is a common Eastern European symbol, notably Albanian, but used throughout the Balkans and Russia.

I don't know of anyone making specifically Freiboden versions of this symbol, but the Freiboden version looks familiar to me, I think it's based on a historical piece, try googling for 'double headed eagle' and it should hopefully provide some ideas.

Try the Albanian flag.

I have no idea what the canon colours are, but it might work...

Try talking to Tom Jewell. His partner Esther does some lovely stuff as she has a machine that can do embroidery. She may be busy for a little while though as she recently had a baby.

The Mill'en Group use the Russian Eagle or the symbol from the Royal Lanarks and I have personally cast it for a larp design.  Send me an email and i'll send you the pictures of it.  It's not on the website because it was a completely custom job that I didn't expect to do any more of.

Go figure

Oh, and props for Maelstrom?  Jesus, i'm doing them all the time.  I just cast the Florin to use as a pommel head for a Mill'enese Lady, a fan with the Eagle on for Olrich's Wedding, a set of Katana, Tanto and Wakizashi with the Kyat "5 Ways" on them, a fighting fan for the Jade Lotus with the same on the front.  Various other signature pieces specifically for Maelstrom..  Again, email me and i'll send pictures.

I have an embroidery machine and can do patches- some of you may have seen the sashes on the 33rd Assault, which I made.

I wouldn't want to get in Esther's way over this, but I imagine that right now I have a bit more spare time then she does...
