Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent archery supplier? I've been using Arrowkaster, but they are mostly retired and I need a source for implements of ranged death.
Don't hug me I'm British, we only show affection to dogs and horses.

If you play in a game that allows you to use them, then get IDV arrows. http://www.idv-engineering.de/
If not, I'd seriously consider making them. Skian-Mhor (http://www.skianmhor.co.uk/) used to do an arrow-kit head for a couple of quid, glue latex and shafts (http://www.quicksarchery.co.uk/, http://www.bowsports.com/), and once you've done a few, you'll be cranking them out really quickly for less then £5 materials a go, especially if you are adventurous, and make up your own heads.
Other than that, LRPstore (www.LRPStore.com) offers arrows made up and ready to go, and you can always try the traders and a big event if you need to, someone always has some.

Well, I was just about to ask where all those dome headed Kaster arrows had gone to but I guess that answers my question. Having used IDV's (boo, hiss!) for some time now I'd have to grudgingly recommend them. The shafts and flights are pretty much bombproof, routinely surviving missions where every other archer came back with splinters of wood; the heads are heavy enough to lob REALLY far (to the point of outdistancing most spellcasters who can only cast within earshot) and really accurately.
For safety and because my ref told me to I padded them out with 10mm of foam. This meant there was some softer stuff hitting the target (the internal foam stiffenes on impact, meaning the shaft basically can't break through it but that it hits harder) that also got rid of the "bouncy" problem IDV's have been known to have. From a 35lb bow at point blank range these refused to injure anyone, merely making him mad, and they lasted over two years before being put out of action with a 14 stone stomp (cheers Dan.). Seems much safer to me than making my own which may or may not explode in mid-air.
Only thing to note is they use proper shafts which are longer than most larp ones. Personally I just under-braced the bow but it's something you should watch out for, it will add 5-6lbs to the draw weight basically. This does have the upshot of being more accurate (or it seemed that way to me) and slightly quicker as your 25lbs is spread over more distance.

Could you explain how you did this? I can't quite visualise it, and it interests me because it sounds like it might be a solution for using the nice arrows at events that have previously disallowed them on safety grounds because of the bouncing / hitting with a surface other than open-cell foam issues.

Sure, essentially the foam was just cut to shape and stuck on with impact adhesive. With a bit of effort you can get it so there's only a single seam on the rear facing part of the head (ie. facing you though mine weren't that good the first few times.). Allowing for a bit of compression you gain about an extra 17mm of thickness and soft foam on the front. The stuff on the sides does wear if fired against something like asphalt but no faster than any other arrowhead.
