| Just been through the final attendance records for the event: 13 players attended and paid 12 crew attended (out of a potential 16 who claimed interest, one dropped out due to impossible to change last minute work committments and one person volunteered to crew at the last minute) We saved money on van hire (thanks to Sarah's negotiating skills on the phone we saved £30 on the original quote) and this time did not manage to crash into the site gate thereby not incurring £100 excess. The site gave us a small discount due to the knackered immersion heater The weapons made by Mr Selley and the banners made by Miss Mewha cost us less than anticipated and besides I had already decided to pay for the weapons myself as I wanted a new sword and the one made by Phill was cool. I only managed to lose one downtime report and got the briefs written and sent in record time The site clearance took less time than normal thanks to crew and players chipping in admirably. We managed to get decent photos of the event thanks to Bette bringing a camera when I forgot to pack one and actually using it when I would have forgotten due to plot things needing to be sorted. Professor Zarathrusta and Giz working together did not destroy the universe. Similarly, Chris Perry and Paul being in the same place as each other did not destroy the real universe (unless it did and we did not notice, again...) So, overall I count that as a win...

| Time I feel for the big thank yous. I know I did these Oscar speech stylie at the end of the event (even my sleep deprived brain is remembering that I said thank you to everyone at least twice...) but there were some people who were not at the event who need to be thanked... so... Massive thanks to all the crew cos they were great. Really great. Certain aspects of the event would not have worked if you hadn't been there doing what you all do so well. Geoff was a wonderfully charming Berekova, Tom was great as Vitso and Linette's Aronwen was spot on for the brief. I didn't see much of Em as Monya but her random Impega NPC was great. Sabrina's Nameless was amusing to watch in action as was her Internal Affairs officer. Mike's minister was suitably ostentatious in both dress and voice. There were also great turns by Russ and Co as the Berekova goons, I especially enjoyed the 'you have to let the Dagdan the boss is nobbing through the door without a weapon scan' followed by Sam turning to Ilana and asking her if she'd nobbed the general. We then got taken outside and told off by the major for being indiscrete Sam's Peevo was also on form, mainly because of the wonderful 'you are depressed becuase of...' descriptions he was dishing out. Thanks for props etc go to: Linette for the Anwynn scroll and also for the love notes and poetry which (unfortunately) no one got to read (she had some ripped up angst poetry in her bag specifically for players to find if she'd died, a nice touch I thought) Chris Snook for the AV stuff including the videos and putting together the various voice files. All the voice actors including Mikey, Sarah, Chris, Gareth, Chris Perry, Sabrina and Katherine Phil for making Aronwen's honourblade look so funky (the bone edged blade was a nice touch) Sarah for booking and driving the van Bette for taking photos and playing 'mad gate tech' so well (the Giz hero worship was wonderful - anyone know which ref gave her that idea?) Anyone else deserve a mention?

balor (2/4/2008) Professor Zarathrusta and Giz working together did not destroy the universe. Similarly, Chris Perry and Paul being in the same place as each other did not destroy the real universe (unless it did and we did not notice, again...)
These were risks? I've no idea why, what are the chances of these two lovely individuals (IC or OC) casuing any irrepairable damage to the universe?
balor (2/4/2008) Bette for taking photos and playing 'mad gate tech' so well (the Giz hero worship was wonderful - anyone know which ref gave her that idea?)
There is no such thing as a mad Gatetech, they are merely enthuastic. By Saturday night I'd reach the stage of not having a clue of how to handle the Giz hero worship. Thanks for throwing me off balance once again.

It was a serious risk... you ever watched Timecop? I *will* get round to copying this thread across...possibly later today. Too many 16 year olds to educate this week so far...
