| I am considering next summer reserecting an old idea. A one shot event in a system called Fates Dawn. The idea is to charge £25 for a one shot weekend at Stockwood (if its available) next year. The plot of FatesDawn is simple. There are five races (though I am open to suggestion). The Fenn, who live in Fenrik the country the game is based in. Think Celts, with a religeon that is based around ancestor and spirit worship, they live in small clans that gather together to decide a high king every year. The Arkans. Think Roman, they originaly turned up as settlers, traders etc. but since they beleive in a single omnipressent god, there is more than a little friction (especialy since in the games history they have been accused of trying to conquer fenrik more than once). The Vik, Vickings/Saxons, they constantly trade or raid Fenrik and are at war with the Arkans. (Which doesnt stop there merchents fleecing them if they happen to meet in nuetral turf like Fenrik) The Mourne, animal and tree spirits bound to the seasons. Magical, but not very physical they claim the country is theres and swing between eating humans and making beds of there bones and poets who inspire peace and joy in all they meet. The Fomorie (Because really, why not?) In the beggining, Balor sold his soul, the souls of his people and his eye for vengeance. The only truely npc group, there are VERY few of them as they cant breed, but killing one is a hero's chore, for if you hit one, Balors vengeans strikes you down. (Horrible things happen) The game has a long standing history, that includes the breaking of the Fen high crown, a druid who went insane and started raising the dead and other lovely things. The Formorie as shape changers tend to always be causing trouble. The event would be fest based, BUT there is a social rank system that is based around owning land and trading. So there is plenty of scope for non-combatents. Magic, (unless your mourne, is largely ritual, the better the ritual, the better the effect. Low hit, armour stops you being hurt.. badly... but doesnt just stop damage. Players would be encouraged to run there own lead up events, start there own settlements etc. so that when they arrived at the game, there would be there own player driven plot as well as anything the game team can come up with. So here is the BIG question: would anyone be interested?

Sure. I'm a fan of Celtic, Norse and Roman history mythology and anything else. I'd be interested and I'm sure a few other folks from this end of the country would be too (we're around Newcastle, and are perfectly happy to travel to Devon to go to Dumnonni Chronicles - if you like your Celtic stuff you might like to try them as well. Great game and really friendly people.)
