| I've just been told one of the nordic larpers I know is running this at the end of April, aimed at an international playerbase: http://clausraasted.dk/motherland/index.html any thoughts? Would you like a larp like this? Do you think we have larps 'like this' in the UK? if not, why don't we?

Very Robert Harris Fatherland generated
Matt Pennington (4/26/2007) But I do think LRP is a hobby best enjoyed in a positive state of mind. If you approach a game with a positive attitude then you're more likely to enjoy yourself there. "Although I can accept talking scarecrows, lions and great wizards in emerald cities, I find it hard to believe there is no paperwork involved when your house lands on a witch."

I think we do, and I think they're called freeforms.
Having dropped that grenade, I'll be going...

I'm on the UK-freeforms yahoogroup. In my experience, most UK freeforms don't run for anything like this length, or make efforts like this on location / set dressing. Most are short events for play at conventions rather than full length larps in their own right.

| That looks very cool, cheers for posting that link up. I'm quite tempted, especially as it's somewhat similar to a Fatherland LRP concept a friend and I wanted to run some years ago, albeit that was on a much smaller scale.

Looks like it could be promising, couple that with the tantalising prospect of a long weekend in Denmark and I'm quite sold on the idea.
