| so then, can we have an update of Vikings, when/will it run again, and what is it going to do in terms of playstyle. I know numerous people came for the high standard of roleplay, the deadly combat, and the ability to do which of those you chose. However mine and Rich's recent "discussion" hinted that we will be diploming our way into Aengland, and fighting will be at a minimum. Anyhoo, any information and thoughts would be good at this time, ta

| I am pleased to announce that Vikings now has a new improved writing team. Our new writers are Andy Rimmer, Russ Worden and Carrie Law. Unfortunately, because Russ is very busy in the period before Christmas, this enthusiastic new team will not be able to meet in person until next year, at which point we will do our best to keep players appraised of any new developments. We hope to retain all that was good about the previous Vikings events, and as much of the character plot and continuity as is possible. I am looking to run the Third Vikings event late in 2008, in order to give our new team plenty of time to familiarise themselves with the existing plot and write some exciting new game. We'll still be taking you to Aengland, but we don't yet know what you'll be doing when you get there. As soon as a site is booked for the third event, I will announce details here on Rule7. | Seems to me that "politics" will to a large extent be replaced with "extortion" (which always relies upon sufficient "muscle " to back it up) so don't worry about getting some fights.

It did nothing of the sort!
Vikings didnt diplome with anyone other than each other, and even then that usually involved a certain amount of blood.
Learn to distinguish politics and diplomacy, and you and I will almost be on a wavelength. Those are two very different beasts.
