Locating acrylic paints in anything other than gold and silver locally seems to be a real problem, unless i'm willing to pay through the nose for games workshop ones. Any advice on good places to look, or alternative paints?

Anyone tried mixing hammerite with latex?

Have you tried mixing inks in with the acrylic paint? Seeing as they're both water-based you should get a fairly uniform solution. I haven't actually tried this myself, just going off an old miniature painting technique whereby ink washes are used on metallic areas to add different tones. I'm assuming that if you mix them at source, it all should come through quite nicely.

If this *does* work, please let me know...

Cheers.
