That is very true, Sarah.
However, I forgot to mention that female LRPers automatically qualify for the "Licenced LRP ambassador scheme", so don't need to take the test. Hence the reason that the questions are all phrased at the gents
Umm why? surely just becuase someone is a female it does not automatically make them a less dorkier and better person thus deserving of a "Licenced LRP ambassador scheme",
Anyway the problem with larpers is other larpers especially the holier than thou ones whom always seem to want to mess up other peoples games

If the whole point of the Licenced LRP Ambassador Scheme is to break the stereotypes of LRPers, and roleplayers and geek-dom in general, then I think it does. Most people have the impression of roleplayers as being male, single, probably with long hair and a goatee, working in IT or being a student, physically unfit, spending too much time rolling dice or sitting at a computer and wearing too much black. And probably having social skill retardation to some degree The fact that someone is female immediately breaks one of those stereotypes. I've had people look very surprised when I've told them that about 1/3rd of the people who come to the games I've run are female I am of course deliberately being a devils advocate here, but I think theres some degree of truth in it.

1) Do you have a job? Yes, but it's in IT
2) Do you have a girlfriend? No I've got a fiance who's male
3) The NHS is in decay. Discuss: Too many cooks etc.
4) Do you have any other hobbies apart from roleplaying? Computer games and reading
5) Do you speak any invented languages such as Klingon or Elvish (immediate disqualification is the answer is yes) I know a few words of Elven?
6) Do you at least understand the basic concept of the off-side rule? In which sport? Rugby or football?
7) If we said that you had to cut off your long hair, or shave off your goatee, could you cope? I have a full on beard, but yes I could
8) When was the last time you read a comic in public? a couple of weeks ago (but comics are cool!)

I think having a job in academia should gain bonus points rather then losing them. Its a well known fact that being a academic is one of the few constructive roles in society and a senior academic is even more respected by the general population then being a rock star. Surrounded by groupies all the time, stopped in the street by random people asking you to sign your recent article, the seminar tours, dropping lab equipment from high story buildings into the adjacent pool, the drugs, the booze, the late nights, the drama between collaborators, the belief that your lab group will beat the odds and last forever, chased by the peparazzi and just the general worship by those around you.

Well put like that, I kind of see your point
