I propose a motion for discussion.

The problem with LRP is LRPers. Discuss.

Or ignore if you prefer.

Ah, but what would LRP be without the LRP'ers?

LRPers are all socially defective to the point where they have to invent a game where they pretend to be someone else hence covering their lack of personality or their defective personality. Place a load of people like this into a group and then watch as they discover their sudden new found pseudo social skills. Maybe the most polite way to put is that they are all different/ have had a slight tap with the ‘special stick’. Plus don’t get me started on LRP women…all crazy…no exceptions.

* the above is a tongue in cheek tirade, based on years of research and professional psychiatrist info, well info from a qualified psychiatrist LRP mate. Well actually something we chatted about whilst drunk years ago. Or I might of dreamt it.

Lucky no LARP guy I have ever met has yet been interested in sane women...

To be honest, in my humble opinion I do tend to think there are two types of LRPer....weirdo LRPers and executive LRPers (as per the Eddie Izzard sketch re: transvestites).  Weirdo LRPers being those crazy antisocial loons who no-one in sensible society would ordinarily truck with and executive LRPers who can integrate into normal society and have friends who aren't involved in "the hobby".  I like to consider myself the latter as I'm sure most of the people on this board would.

p.s. I definitely prefer sane women

I think its simpler than that. We like sane women who are only too happy to let us go off LARPing where we enjoy the company of the crazy women who really enjoy the hobbie and dont just come along out of spite

Or the ones who have said to themselves if you cant beat em join em.

"Its only a game"
