At the bottom of the main forum page, there is a "Mark All as Read" link.
Clicking on this causes the little plus signs next to the individual forum icons to go away (as expected).
However, if you restart the browser and go back to the site, the little plus signs are back on every forum.
I may be at the same event as you, but that does not mean I am playing the same game.
