Smileyface (5/14/2008) They seem to get a lot of post stolen, which suggests Lincolnshire postal services are run by a bunch of crooks. When I was at uni (in Birmingham), our local postie was found with 10,000 (ten thousand) items of undelivered mail in his house. Apparently, if you make people work funny hours and don't pay them very well, they sometimes get a bit stroppy...

raggedhalo (5/15/2008) When I was at uni (in Birmingham), our local postie was found with 10,000 (ten thousand) items of undelivered mail in his house. Apparently, if you make people work funny hours and don't pay them very well, they sometimes get a bit stroppy...Which is of course a reasonable justification for his refusal to do the work he had agreed to do to receive his wages, and the theft of all that mail.

| [admin hat on] This is not a thread to debate the merits or flaws of the postal service. Mugger's and the Waiting Room are available for such a discussion should you wish it. The link to the original subject of the thread is being stretched too far. Thank you to all those posting the resolutions of their problems. [admin hat off]

If you have problem I'd advocate seeing eldritch face to face at an event, either maelstrom or the gathering. Its easier to sort things out that way

Aye, I eventually sorted out my issues with 'em by turning up, explaining who I was, and the issues that there had been, and waiting till he gave me what I was due.

If only I were going to either of those.
Still, next best thing, I'm sending a friend with a note.
They still aren't answering the phone, and now you can't leave a message because their 1571 service is full. I wonder how many messages that takes?
