Yeah Le Prevo are the best bet -- check out their clearance deals (they often have veg tan leather on offer).

| Search on these forums to find other threads where that company has been mentioned: those threads have a few alternative suppliers, though it seems Le Prevo doesn't really have much competition.

| LePrevo have a lrper staff member, so are helpful as they know what we are about Keith Lyons in Northampton comes highly recommended from many people, but I have never purchased from him. e-bay is ok for things like pelts and furs, veg-tan is normally overpriced though you can find interesting factory clearance leather for quite cheap. Unfortunately this factory clearance is usually in vile fashion print designs, but can be useful for certain character types. I once very nearly bought 20metres squared of Faux Print Crocskin to make into armour, and am now wishing I had due to onotakhans at maelstrom. Mind you, LePrevo do factory clearances too so =) http://www.leprevo.co.uk/offers.html ... currently they have some vegtan seconds listed ... maybe ideal for what you want to do?

Cut it out of one piece, sew it up and boil it or cut it from one piece and boil the bugger over a wooden mandrel as though you were working with felt or strawboard, then sew it up the back with saddlers lock stitch.

| You can with an oven do something interesting things also with beeswax and boiling. very temperature sensative though, too hot or two long and it comes out looking like overcooked bacon.
