Well I wouldn't play but I'm not really that bothered about Harry Potter. Its a nice enough setting for a freeform though: Fixed location and setting, easy source material.

Problems I can see is a) when to set it within the whole 'HP' world, b) people knowing too much and c) people playing kids (shudder)

Frankly you might as well just do Mage or modern day Ars Magica, thats my 2p

Well I wouldn't play either, unless I got the chance to give Harry Potter a good kicking.

However I can see the advantage that kids who don't know about LRP could use it as an access point to the hobby.
