It's a lovely idea, and good luck with it. The problem is that the market for SF LRP is small... and the market for kids' LRP is also small. Combine the two and you're probably looking at a player base of approximately 5 children, spread around the country, of various ages... are they gonna pay £200 each for a weekend of LRP?!?
Probably better off running a bigger SF LRP event & allowing kids to come along too, either as part of the main plot (presumably with guns rather than melee weapons) or doing their own "missions" with their parents monstering those sections.
My son & I would be up for coming along if you get anything sorted.

You will not only have problems getting the numbers of kids able to make it cost effective, finding somone to tun it would be a challange. Ive run sci fi, but the stuff we did totaly isnt suitabal for children, and i woulnt enjoy watering down the game so that it would be suitable

| It would be just day events so they come at 8 oclock and leave at 5 oclock also it would be for parents and children with parents being monsters and kids completing the missions also it would only cost low amounts each event!!! I wouldnt charge £60 just for 9 hours

| Anyone running this sort of event would encounter two additional problems too those mentioned before; 1) Getting insurance for children to Larp could be interesting. 2) Anybody working on the game (refs, npcs etc) would need to be Police checked.

| I don't think Mr Floody was was bringing up 'problems' for the sake of it, just pointing out issues that will effect the event if/when it happens. In the end the issues of PRC checks and insurance have to be looked at before you get to the fun bit of writing scenarios. H
