wel since my charictor died at the hartland games ive had a mad rush to get some new kit together, me being overly nieve didnt plan on my last charictor being sucked threw a void gae soi had zero in reserve, apart from some verry small kit which hasnt fit me in a number of years... now number on on my kit list was a new helmet since the one i wore for my last chaictor is covered in wax... anyways, i buy a helmet off ebay... butnot before i email the guy and say 'does this helmet have a chin strap?' etc etc... i get a 'yes' answer
anyways after the guy not sending me the helmet for a few days i received it today... ok... i was all excited, as this helmet was suposed to have a loop for a ploom, where i was going to put a wolfs tail.... and remember its also suposed to have a chin strap so i can wear it right away
it arrives in a massive box, and im getting that... oh crap its going to be huge sensation... after pulling out miles and miles of bubble wrap i come to a verry oily (but rusted in places) helmet, of the correct size... i take it out the bag and lo and behold... no ploom loop and no bloody chin strap.... now... there is zero inside the helmet... no loops to attach a chin strap or anything
considering im leaving for the moot on thursday i dont think im going to get me a replacement anytime soon...

| Bah horrible ebay trader. Hope you're going to try to get your money back as its substantialy not as described and all that. I'm sure if you can afford it there'll be a trader at the Moot with something suitable. If not oh well the character will just have to keep evolving. As time money and costume allows.

| Assuming that you still have the helmet at Moot2- I will fit a chin strap (if you want me to)

E-bay have their own complaints procedure, you have to go through that before you can take him to trading standards or the small claims court etc.
IME going through E-bay is more than sufficient as they are usually very effeicient in dealing with such complaints.

| There uis no legal requirement for a person to return goods delivered which have not been requested. If he supplys postage costs or arranges for collection of the item you must facilitate. Frankly if he doesn't pick it up or send you postage you can keep it. Even possibly start charging him for storage...

| Has it occurred to you that the trader might simply be a human being and therefore fallible? I strongly suggest you contact the trader (because I see no indication that you have) before doing anything else, and make sure the contacting is done in a calm and polite way. Frankly, if you go straight to complaining and then find out that it was an honest mistake you'll only end up looking like a twat.

| Rannak, Having been through complaints procedures with EBay, I'd back everything people here are saying. Go through their system. In the mean time, I have a couple of spare helms if you'd like me to bring them.

ive been threw the complaints procedure before and have found it effective, just i was a litle peeved to say the least wheni received it a week late wih bits missing
ive contacted the fellow several times, and he's ignoring phonecalls and such... so the only other procedure is to report him
