I played the Fury of Dracula from Fantasy Flight Games at the weekend.

www.fantasyflightgames.com/furyofdracula.html

It definitely had good points.  The mechanics make a lot of sense with respect to the things on the card.  Garlic, crucifixes, do pretty much what you'd expect them to.  4 vampire hunters, Mina Harker, Professor Van Helsing, Dr Jon Seward and Lord Godalming pursue Dracula across Europe.

Bad points are that:  it's less the "Fury of Dracula" more the cowering in terror and whimpering of Dracula.  I've only played one game, but everyone's favourite vampire count couldn't seem to get more than a step ahead of the pack.

Anyone else played?

There is only overconfidence and terror.

I've only played this once too, it's a nice game, although not one I'm rushing back to play, but when we played it, our Dracula ran rings round us across Europe, and kicked the hell out of us one at a time. I think we were fairly well matched too. My problem was, by the time I'd managed to find him, it was night, and then he stabbed us up...we never could get him into the sunlight....

I've played it a couple of times, and I found that the game depended entirely upon the expierience of the person playing Dracula. If the person playing dracular knows what he is doing then Dracula tends to win easily.

Don't hug me I'm British, we only show affection to dogs and horses.

I have played this several times and I found that the game experience is very much in the hands of Dracula.

If he plays very defensively the game becomes quite boring for the players, however if he plays too aggresively then experienced and tooled up players will kill him pretty quickly.  All they really need is a stake, an automatic daytime card and a cancel your card card - once they have these Dracula is very vulnerable.

It can be fun but I have gone off it slightly to be honest.
