Thankyou for the interest and enthusiasm, sorry I have not replied yet to individuals, I really did not expect so much interest so did not rush to check my PMs.  I am acting on behalf of the Officer Commanding the unit which has the rifles.

His instructions where for me to recoup some of the huge amount of money that went out on them, just before the holding of such items by cadet units was banned by the higher command on June 1st.  There is a pallet of boxed rifles in my store and we are still collecting in rifles hidden away by individual unit commanders, I reckon about 60 rifles and counting.  As the Company has already registered the loss I was told 'whatever we can get for them'.   I have tried to inform him of the interest from this quarter as he will need to OK any sales so I will talk price once I have spoken to him.

There should be some more kit for disposal soon becuase we have all sorts of stuff in the stores we can no longer use, such as NBC suits, kevlar helmets and various DPM uniform bits that have been withdrawn from issue.  Currently stuff that has been withdrawn gets skipped, but as we are short of funds the OC might be happy to sell the stuff off.

Easily...

So, who is in on the 'arms dealing consortium' so far? I say we put in a bid for the rest of the stuff as well.

I'm probably up for one each of the other interesting bits & pieces too.

Either that, or I will bribe someone to tell me where the skip is...

I was just thinking the same, then I remembered that I'd likely be part of that squad...
