Trying to find a suitable paint for a nice even coat of black on polystyrene. Plasticote do make a primer for poly, but frankly it's a ball ache, time consuming and not cheap. Any ideas on something that I can slap quickly on a lot of blocks to make some passable ammo clips for SG.

Most sprays will melt polystyrene. Either beg/steal/borrow an airbrush, or get a tin of black paint and a brush.
To make sure that the polystyrene is safe, I would use a acrylic paint.

Id have thought that polystyrene would be a bit brittle for use as amo clip, at least tomsurvive the way people ar SG dive arround the place, id personaly use LD45 in the right thickness cut to shape

| I agree, If you use black plastazote then there is no need for paint! The plastazote is already the right colour and it will bend and move with you. If you need a smooth surface then blow a hot air gun over it after you've shaped it and the cell structure will disappear and leave you with a smooth black surface. No paint, no mess, no fuss. Simple.
