Not just for gold is a mine.. but for bsic metals so we can make weapons and things. Without that ore we'll have nothing to make nothing.. So you can see why the Mayor needs to be involved." The Dwarf is very uncomfortable still. "Likely he'd make a claim and get all the cash for himself. If a bright lad got in there first he'd have a small income from the mine on a regular basis."

| Okey dokey, what are you suggesting? Im making an assumption here, is the mine you currently have a poor quality mine, or are you having problems with "locals" in that area. Im not really one to mince words, so il be blunt, if i were to find you a mine to work on, as i have no doubt i can, what would be in it for me?

crystal clear my dear fellow. Well, give me a few days and you'll have your mine, and your boys will have their wage too im sure. Ill find you your new mine, clear it out if theres any problems and you and your boys have the all clear.

| Early the next morning an Officer from Fort Trepidation arrives demanding to speak to the Constable on a matter of great import. Malaniorn has spent the night in the Library with the librarians, they all emerge flushed with excitement, if a little tired from a night without sleep. In there hands they hold a picture of the lock. Malaniorn says "well at least we now know what we are looking vor  " The Officer ties up his horse, and struts to the Inn to await the Constable.
