Ian Sturrock... he seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to combat, and I'd love to test myself against him

Heh-heh. I do talk a good fight, but I'm not necessarily any good when it comes to the practical aspects.

I am ALWAYS up for some sparring at LRP events though. Or for some plain old IC murderisin', if appropriate.

So, when did we meet already? Didn't know we'd been to the same events.

Ummm, about two years ago at Maelstrom I think... you were on your way to the god queue, I was on my way to throw sticks for the Gnolls and my then other half introduced us as she apparently knew you from way back....

I shall be at The Fallen in errrm wherever it is, and probably at Sirens Call in Gloucestershire if I can raise a posse if your going to either of those, but thats about as far north as I'll be travelling this year for fear of catching an accent

Ah, right -- I must have spaced on that one, as I believe they say in California. Possibly I was just looking at your missus, if she's a hot chick in costume (see "Tough Gig" thread). Sorry.

I'd love to go to The Fallen, but it falls on the same weekend as 3 other things I'm mad keen to do this year (crewing The Last Kingdom LRP, going to the only ShivWorks self-defence seminar in the UK this year, and going to hit people with steel weapons at Berkeley Castle). LRP is my first love so if it were up to me it'd be a toss-up between TF and TLK. As it is my wife & son both want to go to Berkeley, so I'm outvoted anyway. If they run another event, though, I should be there.

I'd forgotten the bungees... damn that was a bad movie.

I think it's worth it to keep my artistic scrutiny in effect. It blew, i'm sorry.
