| The movie of Stardust is coming out soon Look very pretty, and has a seriously A-list cast, i.e. Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, Sienna Miller, Ricky Gervais, Jason Flemyng, Peter O’Toole, Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro Hopefully the inevitable fame/glory/marketability that Neil Gaiman will get from this might encourage Henson to do something with the Neverwhere film rights that they've been sitting on for the past 10 years http://www.stardustmovie.com/

The froth on Gaiman's blog largely gives me confidence that this will be an excellent film which covers the material in the right way... When an author complains about the film I generally groan and avoid

| Ooooooooo... If this is done halfway right, and with that cast and Neil Gaiman's involvement it might just be, this is going to be gooooooood...

| I don't think he is 'involved' (as in with a writing credit), he is just credited as a 'based on the novel by...' way. He has, however, been on set and been visting the production offices and so on and has been given photos and vid clips which he has been sworn not to reveal until the right time... You can find them on his blog. Search for his name on LJ and friend him Most of his Stardust posts have been along the pattern of Photo... froth... photo... froth... froth... Oh, I can't tell you about that... oh, I am not allowed to show you that... froth...

I would like to see a film of Neverwhere, I throroughly enjoyed the TV mini series back in the 90's.

I picked up the graphic novel to Neverwhere as an impulse buy the other week, and I've gotta say, it wasn't a patch on the TV series.
Guess I'd better go and pick up Stardust now...
