Hey there folks.
As somebody who was planning on comming along this year but could'nt (for various reasons) I find that i have the time to expand my hard skills before i get to play.
As a result of this I'm interested in getting some training in bushcraft, but for the life of me i'm having difficulty finding people who provide courses in the vicinity of the midlands.
Can anybody help out here?

Hi CelticKnots,
You could try asking around here:
http://www.bushcraftuk.com/external/forums.html
They seem a knowledgeable enough bunch...
Someday you too, like me, will be able to unnerve people at LRP events across the country by browsing for your lunch en route through the woods, picking what appear to be entirely random leaves, seeds, and fungi & then popping them into your mouth...

Otherwise usually crew ("Quite spry & fit, & willing to wear a big costume & run around a lot" -- various event organisers)
