I've been having problems getting quote tags to work properly. It seems like sometimes they work and sometimes they don't (sometimes both within the same post). I can't see that I'm doing anything differently when they do work. Am I being a muppet?

They don't seem to work if you leave any spaces at all between quoted sections.

No... as far as I can make out, it's a bit fussy about making sure your quotes are nested properly.  Basically it's a real SOB, but the simplest solution I've found is to break up the quote into the parts you want and then C+P (ctrl + C keys to copy, ctrl + V keys to paste) the whole tag line  e.g. (using <'s not ['s)

<quote> <b> Marios (6/14/2006)</b><hr>

some stuff

</quote>

and you need the </quote> bit because that tells it when to shut up.

There is only overconfidence and terror.

None of the responses are "quite" correct, although marios is quite close to the mark.
I've already made a response on this issue before: HERE
