Actually folks I'm afraid we're having to re-schedule the next Brighton Below

The 4th of August is the same date that Pride is on in Brighton. So aside from the fact that a number of players would be busy drinking in Preston Park, theres also traffic chaos, the trains are packed, theres no parking etc

So we're moving the event back two weeks to the 18th of August.

Hi Trez,

This may be a little bit of a weird question.  Is the game solely in the Church Hall?  Just want to make sure we won't have to go into the church at any point.  I have a weird thing about roleplaying in Churches.

Matt

If I wanted to listen to an arsehole, I'd fart!

The game is actually in the Church itself as well as the Church hall.

Whilst its a working church , its also used for a lot of non-religious concerts, meetings etc so we're not the only ones who use the premises for purposes other than worship.

Unfortunately I can't guarantee that you'd have as much fun if you came but just stayed in the hall, as the likelihood is that we'd be using the actual church as the main focus of the game

Thanks for the info Trez, I'll have to give it a miss then.

Hope everything goes swimmingly for the game.

No probs, Matt

I understand that some people may have reservations for religious reasons

Myself and two others would be interested in coming, if you're still open for new characters?

Hi Marianne

We certainly are. The more the merrier.

At the moment we're in the process of jiggling the rules slightly. Not really to change them (tho there is a slight errata in a couple of places) but rather that one of our players is very kindly doing a load of illustrations so we're hoping to get a lovely new rulebook printed.

Will keep you updated

On another note, we've actually written some NPC roles / action that takes place only in the hall rather than the Church itself, so whilst its not the full Brighton Below effect, we can accomodate people (to some degree) who are uncomfortable to actually playing in the Church itself

We've put the rules back up on line. They're pretty much the same as before but we've included the amended armour rules

We've not got all the fancy pictures ready yet so that will probably come a little later. We needed to start getting the bookings in now, so that we can update people's characters and administer any downtime actions

Rules are available at
www.downloads.darklightlrp.com

Bookings can be made at
