As I said when you asked on Pagga, my wife could do this kind of thing very easily, and is used to doing classical kit. She made a stack of Greek & Trojan style armour & costumes for Clywd Theatr Cymru's production of _Troilus & Cressida_ last year, for example.

Well, yeah, it's always easier to buy something premade... but if you buy something that's made to order, you get to specify exactly what you want, and you get it made to measure, too.

I dunno, I think that looks like a very fair price -- bear in mind that $48 is only about £25. If that's pure wool (as it ought to be if it's a Roman tunic), the price seems very reasonable. Of course if it's some crappy uncomfortable artificial fabric it's not such a great price, and it may well be, given that the fabric isn't specified.

pluss you have to add in postage and since its over $20 you will be charged about £8 cutoms charges

it doesnt look like wool... looks more like a thick dyed cotton

Yeah, agreed, it probably isn't wool (and I'd be wary of buying it from them if I didn't know exactly what it was). Still, the price is still not entirely unreasonable even if it's just heavy cotton -- it's not like the makers are making a profit on the postage & customs charges.
