If a character starts researching (or being taught) a skill that will take more than one downtime to learn, and they stop learning it before finishing the skill, can they restart their research from the point where they left off, or are they back to square one, or some other option?

stealing:

can you steal coins, they are IC items that are supplied but have no lamies and you can only steal lamied items?

If you kill somone, take there bag or just rob somone who has the lammie for ore, crops, wood or stone can you take that commodity as it is surpossed that its in a safe close location?

You can steal coins and you can steal parchment. You cannot take laminates that are not attached to phys reps. Obtaining people's supplies that are stored nearby requires you to obtain the location of the supplies. This can be done with some appropriate role play and an application of the capture rule.

Argh, so I can keep all my stuff much safer by storing it 'off-site' and don't have to bother physrepping it, but can carry around the cards in my pocket in order to play the trading card game with people?

That, um, sucks a bit. (Especially for the folk who enjoy stealing things and looting corpses.) I understand that off-site caching makes more sense for big resources and is something that is reasonable to do, but surely I should at least have to store my lammies in my OOC tent and risk heading off into the wilds a little way to show people them / get them in order to use them?

No that's not what I meant. What I said was meant to be applied in context with the section in the rules guide. Laminates should be attached to phys reps. The only "Off site" really should be measures of crop, wood, ore or stone, as these are bigger than can be phys repped. The grey area from the last event was herbs, but we have added a section to the rules to sort this out.

I don't really understand where you think this is being allowed. We're big fans of corpse looting - which is why we load up most of the characters we send out with stuff. If I've not covered the problem in my post could you point out what you think I've made "suck" and I'll look at it.

Incidentally I forgot to include rune phys reps, these can also be stolen.

I get what your going for allen. Would it be safe to say items supplied by eos in dt packs are stealable otherwise has to be lammied?

I was more worried when I thought it applied to herbs and crafted goods as well - it's more of a reasonable compromise for the other resources.

It does still lead to one particularly irritatin
