May have been covered already but this thread is 20+ pages and it's late.
What are the rules regarding willpower loss through magical weaponry? The rules state that when damages occurs that the willpower loss happens, but is that when the damage gets through armour or when the first strike lands?
Example: Bob the Sornassian wearing full plate (5 hpl from memory) goes toe to toe with the Arch Bog Wraith of Howsyourfather who dishes out magical singles. Does Bob lose willpower with the first strike or does the wraith have to batter through and hit Bob 4 times in the same location before he feels drained?
Also, how do shields affect this on the arm when blocked if the willpower loss happens on the first strike?

You only take the willpower loss from a magic weapon if YOU take damage, not your armour or shield.
that answer your query?

Well yes, it would be - if any of us knew how to get our hands on a magic weapon. Or, you know, wanted the "....."'s dead.

Next question then, what about weapons that do magical crush? Does the armour drop to zero first, then the magical affect or will it take one blow first to shatter the armour and another blow for the will drain?

| Doesn't the MAGIC call go through armour? Unless it has Magical Protection, then it doesn't do anything. Or is it Me?

From the Rule book.
--------------------
Magical or Magic
A successful strike with this call does one point of damage and also
removes one point of will point from an opponent. When combined with
any other ability, the damage is done according to that call.
--------------------
Doesnt mention going through armour. Though i do recall hearing something like that myself before. Prehaps one of those 'myths' that gets spread quickly?
Pete: If the crush breaks your armour but does no damage to you then no, from Alans description you would not have taken the will loss yet. Not until you take damage do you also lose will points.

| You could be thinking of this call maybe: Shock This is a physical damage call. If someone touches you and calls "Shock" you suffer one point of damage to your body or any magical armour on the touched location. This effect bypasses all normal armour protection. Shock may be accompanied by a numerical call in which case further points of damage are incurred. For more information, see the spell entry on page 68.
